Hey all,
I've been digging into the Jani Thompson case, and something that's been on my mind is the scream neighbors reported hearing on May 16. It would be interesting to know if anyone followed up with those neighbors to get more details. Was it a scream that sounded like it was from distress or more of a sudden shock or surprise? It feels like such a key detail that might have been overlooked, especially since it kind of contradicts Glyn's story that she just left the house quietly.
I also wonder whether the neighborhood dynamics influenced how quickly or seriously that scream was investigated. Sometimes people don't want to get involved, or they don't want to believe something awful is happening next door. Plus, do we know exactly where in the timeline this scream fits with the other events, like the last time anyone else saw her or the car being abandoned?
Every little bit helps when it comes to cases like these, especially when the main suspect maintains his innocence. Thoughts?
I've been following Jani Thompson's case and something that's always puzzled me is the scream that neighbors reported hearing on the night of May 16. It's odd to me that this detail hasn't gotten more attention, especially since it happened right before she supposedly "left" according to Glyn Scharf.
Do we know anything more about the neighbors who reported hearing the scream? Was it more than one neighbor, and did they provide a specific time? It seems like a crucial piece of the puzzle. A scream suggests distress or an argument, but I wonder if further investigation into that could have shed more light on what truly happened that night. It feels like such a critical clue, yet there's so little information available. It's another tragic element in this case that feels unresolved. Anyone else have thoughts or additional info on this?
I was thinking today about Jani's abandoned car and what it might tell us, especially since it was found so soon after she disappeared. It makes you wonder if Folsom was significant for some reason, or if it was just a random dump site. Did she have any connection to that area? I haven't come across anything about her spending time there, but you'd think if the location had meaning, investigators would have looked into it more, right? Also, considering she had that upcoming wedding she was preparing for, it seems unlikely that she'd leave in such a way. It all just really doesn't add up to me. Maybe someone local has some insights or might remember seeing something unusual in the area around that time?
