Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the environment where this tragedy took place. Living quarters like those on base can be pretty stressful, and I'm wondering if that pressure played a role in what happened between Steven Kohus and Brock Myers. These guys lived and worked in close quarters, and while the Marine Corps instills a strong sense of camaraderie and brotherhood, it can be an intense environment. The dynamics of living on base, especially in a high-pressure battalion like the 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, can sometimes amplify conflicts. Did anyone else come across information about any previous incidents between Marines on this base, or similar issues elsewhere? Not trying to deflect from the seriousness of the case, but maybe understanding the environment can shed some light on what led to this unfortunate event. My heart really goes out to Steven's family and friends. It’s a devastating loss and one I hope they find answers and peace for. Thanks for any thoughts or information you might share.
