I’ve been following the discussion around Donnell Price's tragic death, and I can't help but think about the impact this is having on the community, especially the younger generation growing up with violence as a constant backdrop. I wonder how many kids witnessed that awful day on Presbury Street and how it shapes their perception of safety and their futures. It's frightening to consider what kind of role models they have when so many lives are cut short. Local organizations and schools really need more support to provide safe spaces and mentors. It's a critical point of intervention, in my opinion, if we’re going to see any real change. My heart goes out to Donnell's family and friends, who not only lost someone they loved but also have to cope with these ongoing community struggles.
