I came across the case of Steven Crider recently and just can’t stop thinking about the impact on his family, especially his mom, Sandy. I can’t imagine the pain of trying to understand what possibly went through Steven’s mind that night. It’s so hard when you’re faced with one image of your loved one, and the authorities are presenting another. Listening to Sandy talk about Steven, you can hear the love and hope she had for him. It’s devastating to think about what could have been if he had just chosen differently that night. These incidents are such a harsh reminder of how quickly things can turn tragic, even for someone so young. My thoughts are with the Crider family—they truly deserve some peace and healing.
