Has anyone been following the case of Devonte Laray Bowie? It's so troubling to think about the circumstances surrounding his death. The whole situation around Nickerson Gardens is just heartbreaking for the community. I can't stop thinking about his family. To lose someone so young with so much ahead of them... it's just unfathomable.
I'm really concerned about how this all centers on an argument that preceded the shooting. Does anyone have any insights into whether gang involvement was ever confirmed? I know the LAPD's Criminal Gang Homicide Division is on it, but it's frustrating to hear that no arrests have been made. It really makes you think about how deep the issues are in that area and how hard it is for justice to be served.
