Has anyone else been following the ongoing investigation into Jerome Johnson's tragic death in Compton? It's been so many years, and I can't imagine the pain his family must still feel knowing justice hasn't been served. Something that's stuck out to me is how the community has reacted over time. I've read that witnesses were hesitant to come forward, which just adds another layer of complexity for the investigators. I understand why there might be reluctance to speak out—fear of retaliation is a very real thing, especially in areas struggling with violence. But this silence is one of the things that can make solving cases like this so much harder. It's just incredibly frustrating that people's fear is essentially standing in the way of bringing those responsible to account. For anyone who's familiar with the area, what do you think could help build more trust with law enforcement to encourage witnesses to come forward? It seems like breaking this cycle of fear is crucial not only for justice for Jerome but for the community as a whole.
