I can't stop thinking about the impact this tragedy had on Keith "Jigg" Zinn’s community in Bayview. From what I’ve read, he was someone who truly embodied the spirit of his neighborhood, known for his kindness and vibrant personality. It just seems so senseless that he became a victim in a cycle of violence that doesn't seem to slow down. The corner of Ironwood Way and Catalina Street must feel so different now, knowing what happened there. I can't imagine the weight that must hang in the air for those who walk past it daily. It's hard not to wonder about the measures that can be taken to help these communities heal. Even with the arrests of the Norbert brothers bringing some progress, this shooting highlights deeper issues that need addressing. Let’s hope that Keith’s tragic end can push us all to advocate for change, and support those left to face the aftermath of such violence. My heart goes out to everyone in Bayview. ?️
