I'm still thinking a lot about the community's reaction to Lillie Mae Christiansen's passing. It's really moving to see how close-knit neighborhoods can come together during such a painful time. Even though I didn't know her personally, the stories shared at the vigil speak volumes about the kindness and love Lillie Mae spread throughout her life. It's a small comfort, but seeing the candles and mementos growing on that porch is a powerful reminder of the impact she had on those around her. It's unsettling to think about the violence that took her life and what could possibly have been going through the suspect’s mind, but it's uplifting to see the community rally around her family and each other. We need to continue supporting one another and pushing for change to prevent these tragedies. Does anyone else have thoughts on how neighbors have been holding up, or has there been any talk of community initiatives since all this happened?
