Does anyone else feel frustrated hearing about cases like Joshua Bayne's where witnesses won't or can't come forward? I get that fear and mistrust are huge factors, especially in a climate as intense as Baltimore's was in 2017, but it leaves grieving families like Joshua's in such a painful limbo. They are waiting for justice with no real sense of closure. It just breaks my heart that the community and families are stuck in this cycle. I wish there was a way to encourage more witness protection or support, so people could share what they know without fear of retaliation. It’s just so hard to see how the lack of cooperation stalls these cases and keeps Joshua and others like him from getting the justice they deserve. Any thoughts on how we as a community can push for better solutions?

Hey everyone,
I’ve been digging into Joshua Bayne’s case, and something that stands out is the way the community rallying around his family has been both inspiring and disheartening at the same time. It's incredible to see neighbors and friends coming together, holding vigils and trying to raise awareness about the violence, but it just breaks my heart that these efforts are often overshadowed by fear and mistrust.
I can't help but wonder, what more could be done from a grassroots level to support families like Joshua's and truly make a change? It feels like there’s a disconnect between the community and the authorities, but I believe there's so much potential if only there was more trust and cooperation on both sides.
Anyone have thoughts on how communities can effectively engage with law enforcement to make their neighborhoods safer or experiences they've seen work elsewhere?
Sending thoughts and strength to Joshua’s loved ones during this unimaginable time. Hopefully, justice will come soon. ?
