I was thinking about Hector Angel Cantun today, and it just weighs heavy on my heart. It’s so tragic to see a young life cut short, especially under such violent circumstances. I can only imagine the pain his family feels every day knowing that justice hasn’t been served yet. Gang violence just seems so senseless, and it seems like cases like Hector's just get lost in the shuffle sometimes. I was reading up on the case again, and it frustrates me that there still aren’t any significant leads. I realize how complex and difficult these investigations can be, particularly when witnesses are scared to speak up. But it’s also a community issue, and it takes all of us to push for change and safety. I've seen mentions of community programs aimed at reducing gang violence in Los Angeles—has anyone heard if there's been any progress with those? I feel like more community involvement and resources could help, not just in bringing people to speak out but in addressing the root causes of gang violence. I hope this case doesn’t fade into obscurity and that people keep talking about it until there's justice for Hector and peace for his loved ones. If anyone has any updates or knows more about how the community is responding, please share.
