Hey everyone, I came across Cedrick Ronald Banks' case recently, and something that really stood out to me was the community's response. It's truly moving to see how the Hawthorne community rallied together with marches and vigils to not only honor Cedrick but also to confront the bigger issue of gun violence. It seems like the community really came together as a family during such a difficult time, and that unity is so important when dealing with such tragic events. However, it’s disheartening to think of the frustration his family must feel with no arrests made or suspects identified. It makes me wonder what more can be done to support grieving families and ensure they aren't left in the dark like this. Does anyone know if there have been similar community initiatives in other areas where they've tried to push cold cases forward? I feel like community involvement could make a big difference in getting more attention on these cases. Sending thoughts to Cedrick's family and friends. It’s clear from the community’s response how much he was loved and will be missed.
