Did anyone else notice how the defense team tried to cast doubt on the nature of the robbery during Shaffer's trial? It's so infuriating that they might try to downplay the severity, considering Connie lost his life in such a senseless act. It's like they're trying to shift focus away from the fact that a man with a past gun offense ended up in such a violent situation once again. My heart goes out to Connie's family and friends having to sit through all this legal maneuvering. It's tough to see how these tragic incidents continue to ripple through communities, especially when justice seems like it takes forever to achieve. What do you guys think about the defense's strategy? Does it actually hold any weight, or is it just a typical courtroom tactic?
