I keep thinking about Leonardo Gabriel Ramirez and how his life was cut so short. It seems like so many factors contributed to him being where he was on that awful night. I don't think there's any excuse for his murder, but it does make me wonder about the wider picture. Why are we seeing so many young people getting involved in gangs in the first place? There's clearly a deeper issue going on—it's not just about arrests and punishments. I feel for his family who must be living with so many unanswered questions. They not only lost a son, but they’re left wondering who could commit such an act and why. It's like, how do you even begin to cope when you don't have closure? On another note, I'm really curious about the community's response in East Hollywood. Are there any initiatives or programs being put in place to prevent other young people from going down a similar path? It feels like community support could be key here, both in terms of preventing violence and in helping those who are grieving Leonardo's loss. I hope someday they get the justice they deserve.
