Has anyone else been thinking about the role of proper gun storage in this tragedy? While my heart goes out to Danny's family during such an unimaginably difficult time, I can't help but feel this is yet another devastating reminder of why responsible gun ownership is so crucial. It's hard not to think of how different things might be if safety measures had been in place. I've read that firearms should always be stored unloaded and locked away, with ammunition secured separately. It baffles me how often this isn't the practice, considering the severe consequences. This isn't about pointing fingers but more about trying to find some way for this tragedy to lead to change. I can't imagine the pain the Cervantes family is going through, and it's heartbreaking that it happened because of something that potentially could have been prevented. Wishing strength and peace to Danny's loved ones. I hope we can learn something from this to keep it from happening again in any other family.
