Hey all, I’ve been following Kehende Lang's case and something that's been on my mind is the impact of multiple unsolved shootings on the community's sense of safety. It's unsettling to think that this happened in an area already on edge from the previous incident in April 2015. The fact that Kehende's family has been left in the dark and without closure for so long must be incredibly painful. I’m curious about whether local community groups or leaders have stepped up their efforts to work with the police on this. Sometimes, increased community engagement can put pressure on the investigation and maybe even draw out new witnesses or leads. Has anyone heard if there have been any initiatives or movements in Mid-City to address this ongoing issue of violence? My heart goes out to Kehende's loved ones; they truly deserve answers and justice.
