I’ve been following Eduardo Reyes' case and recently started thinking about the impact on his family, especially considering the circumstances. Lisa was in a terrifying situation, making that 911 call while trying to protect her children. It's such a difficult position to be in—not knowing how events will unfold or how quickly everything could change. Additionally, I’ve been wondering about the officers involved. Being put in a position where they had to make a split-second decision must weigh heavily on them too. There’s no easy side in situations like these, and it leaves a lasting impact all around. My thoughts are with everyone touched by this tragedy. I truly hope the Reyes family, along with the officers and their families, have been able to find some peace and healing. It’s these kind of stories that remind us of how crucial it is to handle domestic violence with sensitivity and urgency, for everyone’s safety.
