I’ve been reading about the tragic case of Mojotti Barnett, and it’s truly tough to wrap my head around it all. My heart goes out to his family, who must be living every day with the pain of their loss. What stood out to me was the location—43rd Street in North Oakland. I grew up nearby, and it’s unsettling to think that such violence can strike so close to home. It must be incredibly frustrating for the police and everyone involved that no suspects or motives have emerged after all this time. The community's silence might be a result of fear, but I wonder if there’s more that could be done to encourage people to come forward with information. It’s vital for Mojotti’s family to find some closure, and for the area to heal from this tragedy. I’m hoping and praying that someone out there knows something and will find the courage to speak up. If anyone has thoughts on how to better support victims' families or ways to improve safety, I’d love to hear them.

It's hard to think about how Mojotti Barnett's family must feel, still waiting for answers after all this time. I can't imagine the pain they're enduring, especially knowing that Mojotti's killer is still out there. There's something that's been on my mind about the location of the incident on the 800 block of 43rd Street. I know Oakland neighborhoods can be pretty tight-knit, with people often knowing their neighbors' routines. But if the community is hesitant or scared to come forward, it feels like another tragedy on top of a tragedy. Maybe someone saw something and is too afraid to say, which is understandable but so frustrating. This whole situation highlights the urgent need for better communication between the community and law enforcement. It's not just about solving one case but building a system where people feel safe to speak up without fear. Thinking of Mojotti's family and hoping for any breakthrough that can give them some peace.
