Did anyone else come across the recent update about Mitchell Maya Morales’ case? I heard there's renewed interest from the LAPD with some new technology they’ve been using to revisit unsolved cases. It’s so frustrating to know that Mitchell’s family has been waiting for justice all these years. He was such a talented barber in the making, and it’s awful that someone took that future away from him. I can't imagine the pain his family has had to endure. This case really shines a light on those cold cases that seem to linger without resolution. Do any Boyle Heights locals have thoughts on how the community might rally around the family to keep Mitchell’s memory alive and support the investigation? Let's hope some new leads come through soon.
