I've been following Stanley Montes' case since it happened, and it still haunts me how a simple game of basketball could end in such tragedy. I can't imagine what his family is going through, knowing that those responsible are still out there. It's incredibly frustrating that even with the LAPD's ongoing efforts, no major leads have surfaced.
What really stands out to me is the role of community involvement in cases like this. I've read about rewards being offered, but sometimes it feels like people are too scared to speak up because of potential retaliation. Gang violence in LA is no joke, and I understand the fear, but this is someone's son, brother, and friend we’re talking about. It's really important for anyone who might have seen or heard something, no matter how small it seems, to come forward.
Stanley's family and friends deserve answers and peace, and it’s only through collective efforts that they'll finally get it. If you're in the area, please consider any information you might have and reach out to the detectives. Let's not allow Stanley’s case to fade away like so many others.
Hey everyone, I’ve been following Stanley Montes' case, and something that really sticks with me is the role of community safety. It’s so saddening to think about Stanley’s family and friends who have to keep waiting for answers. I live near the Vermont Square neighborhood, and it's distressing to see how acts of violence impact the entire community. There used to be some talks about installing more street lights and cameras in high-risk areas. I'm curious if anyone knows if there have been any updates or efforts in that regard since the incident? Increased surveillance might not solve everything, but maybe it could deter some of these tragic incidents from happening. Sending my thoughts to Stanley’s loved ones and hoping for some positive developments in the case soon.
It's just so devastating to hear about what happened to Stanley Montes. He was just out having fun and playing basketball with friends—a normal day that turned into a tragedy. The randomness of it all makes it even more terrifying and underscores the urgent need to address the gang violence affecting so many neighborhoods.
I truly feel for his family and friends, having to live with this unimaginable loss. Detective Garrido and the LAPD must be working hard, but it's been long without any breakthroughs. It's frustrating and sad to see cases like this go unsolved, knowing the suspects are still out there.
I hope more people in the community might come forward with any info they have. Even the smallest detail could help solve this case. It’s important for us to support efforts in any way we can, not just for Stanley but to prevent future tragedies. Hopefully, justice will prevail sooner rather than later.
