I came across the Coombes case again, and it just won’t leave my mind. The whole situation is so deeply saddening, especially how it highlights an often-overlooked issue—elderly mental health and caregiving stress. It's haunting to think about the pressure Harold must have been under caring for Bertha, possibly feeling like there was no way out. I think it’s crucial for communities to find ways of reaching out to seniors who might be silently struggling in similar circumstances. Offering accessible mental health resources and support systems could really make a difference. It just makes you wish someone could have reached out to them before things turned so tragic. What do you all think about community programs or systems that could prevent something like this?
