I've been following the case of Rosanna Baker, and I can't shake the awareness of how invisible domestic violence often really is until it’s too late. It's devastating that even those closest to Rosanna and Timothy didn’t realize the severity of what was happening behind closed doors. Reading about Rosanna and Timothy, it's a grim reminder of the importance of watching out for the less obvious signs of abuse in those we know. Sometimes it starts subtly, and the person suffering might not feel they have a safe space to talk about it. It seems like neither Rosanna nor anyone around her saw how dangerous things had become, and that's haunting. Sending love and strength to their young son and the family members taking care of him. It’s tragic that he will grow up without his parents, and I hope he finds love and support in their absence. If we can learn anything from this painful incident, it's the need for open dialogue and vigilance regarding domestic violence, even when everything seems normal on the surface.
