I've been following the case of Kori Shanelle Mattie, and it just truly hits me how a young life could be taken so senselessly. I can only imagine what her friends and family are going through, and my heart goes out to them as they search for answers. One thing that puzzles me is how there's been no significant lead despite the detailed description of the suspects and their getaway vehicle. The white Honda Accord and the descriptions of the men involved should have triggered some kind of tip by now, right? I mean, two men between 25 and 30, one heavyset and the other of average height—you'd think someone would recognize those details. I just hope that someone out there who knows something has a change of heart and comes forward. The $10,000 reward might incentivize someone to speak up, but more importantly, there needs to be justice for Kori. Her story stays with me, and I keep hoping for a break in the case. If you're in the area or know people there, please keep those details in mind. It feels like any little piece of information could be what finally gives her family the closure they so desperately need.
