Did anyone else find it really strange that John and Heidi's disappearance wasn't reported immediately? I mean, it's deeply odd that no one noticed for several weeks. Friends and family usually pick up on something being wrong sooner, especially when it's so unlike them to just leave without a word. It makes me wonder about their social circle and if they had anyone close enough to check in on them frequently. This delay might have crucially impacted the investigation early on. I'm curious if there were any specific reasons why nobody raised the alarm sooner?
I've been following John Gregory Hughes and Heidi Rhodes' case for a while now, and something that keeps bothering me is how long it took for anyone to realize they were missing. I mean, it was weeks before it was even reported! Does anyone know why there was such a delay? Were they not close with family or friends who would check in on them regularly? It's bizarre that two people could just vanish like that without immediate concern from their circle. With Barry T. Davis driving Hughes's car so soon after, it's like there were multiple red flags from the get-go. Just trying to piece together why this timeline didn't raise alarms sooner. Thoughts?
I've been following the John Hughes and Heidi Rhodes case for a while now, and something that's always puzzled me is the time it took for their disappearance to be reported. It was several weeks before anyone seemed to notice they were missing. I get that everyone has different communication levels with family and friends, but it just seems strange that no one thought something was off.
Did they have any close friends or relatives who might have tried to contact them during that time? Were they known for taking long trips without informing anyone? Especially since it seemed out of character for them both. It's just such a crucial period where potentially vital information could have come to light sooner. Really curious if anyone has more insight into this aspect of the case.
