Has anyone looked into the type of vehicle that might have been involved in Bessie's death? It’s been bothering me that this angle hasn’t been discussed much. Given that Route 202 is a road where larger vehicles often pass, could it have been a truck or SUV that hit her? Maybe someone who owns or used a vehicle like that around 1999 might have noticed damage or repairs corresponding to that time. It’s such a horrible thing for Bessie’s family to not have the answers they deserve after all these years. My heart aches for them. If anyone has insights into the vehicle type or any related information, it might be a piece of the puzzle needed to finally bring some peace to her loved ones.
It's been over two decades since Bessie's tragic passing, and I often wonder what it must be like for her family to still be searching for answers after all this time. I recently read about how her former boyfriend, Raymond Wood, was a person of interest but never officially charged. It got me thinking—if there wasn't enough evidence against him, is it possible there might be someone else entirely overlooked?
The impact of a hit-and-run seems so cold, so impersonal, yet someone out there knows what happened that night. It's hard to imagine living with such a secret. It must feel like a never-ending nightmare for her loved ones. They deserve closure and some peace of mind.
Has anyone ever heard of other cases in Maine around that time that might have similarities to Bessie's case? Sometimes connecting these threads can shine light on the truth. Hoping justice can finally be served for her and her family.
