I'm deeply saddened by Jai Bornstein's passing and wanted to share a bit about the local LGBTQ events she was involved in. I attended a few of them at CSUB, and Jai was such a passionate advocate for inclusivity. Her energy was infectious—she had a way of making everyone feel seen and heard. It's such a profound loss for our community. I remember her organizing a panel discussion on mental health just a month before her passing. She was so committed to breaking down stigmas and ensuring that resources were accessible to everyone in need. It's heartbreaking that someone who fought so hard for others was struggling herself. I hope that in her memory, we can continue to raise awareness and build support systems so others don't feel alone. Jai left an important legacy, and we owe it to her to keep her spirit alive through action and love.

Has anyone else been really touched by how Jai's family has turned their grief into advocacy for mental health awareness? I've been following this case, and it's so moving to see how they're working tirelessly to help others who might be struggling. It's such a powerful reminder of how important support systems are, especially for those in the LGBTQ community who face unique challenges. I can't imagine the pain they've been through, losing someone so young and vibrant. I hope their efforts can help bring about the change Jai fought for and prevent other families from experiencing such a loss. Jai's advocacy was truly inspiring, and I think continuing her work is a beautiful way to honor her memory.
