I came across the case of Than Yim recently, and it got me thinking about the dynamics of group altercations in such tragic events. It's deeply unsettling to realize that there were multiple individuals involved in that parking lot confrontation, yet none have been held accountable, at least publicly. I wonder if fear of retribution or a code of silence is preventing witnesses from coming forward. It's difficult to imagine the pain his family must be enduring, not just from losing Than, but also from the frustration of not having answers for so many years. I really hope someone who knows something finds the courage to speak out. Portland's a close-knit community, and it troubles me to know this case is still unresolved among other unsolved homicides. Has anyone else followed similar group altercation cases that eventually got solved? Did any new evidence or witnesses break the silence?

Hey everyone, Just wanted to bring up something about the murder of Than Yim that I've been thinking about. It's baffling to me how, even with a large group of people involved in the altercation, there seems to be such a lack of concrete information on what really happened that night at the Thanh Thanh Bida Club. It's been nearly 14 years, and I imagine the weight of that silence must be unbearable for Than's family and friends. I wonder if the passage of time will bring forward new witnesses or if someone who was there might be struggling with their conscience, ready to speak up after all these years. It's evident that the Portland PD is still hopeful for new leads, so it's never too late for someone with information to come forward. My heart goes out to Than's loved ones who have had to endure years without closure. Here's hoping that justice finds its way to them soon. If anyone here has any theories or lesser-known facts about the case, I'd love to discuss them here. Let's keep the conversation going and see if we might help in some small way. Stay safe, everyone.

Hey all, I was just thinking about the unsolved murder of Than Yim that happened back in 2009 at that club in Portland. It’s been 14 years, and I can’t help but wonder if there's something more to the story that we’re missing. The lack of details about what actually caused Than’s death is really unsettling. Was it just a random act of violence, or did something happen in that group altercation that we don't know about? Part of me is curious about whether there was any surveillance footage from the area that night. I mean, you'd think a place like a club parking lot might have cameras, right? If anyone here knows more about whether footage was reviewed or maybe checked by police, I’d love to hear thoughts on that. Hoping that someday there will be a breakthrough for Than’s loved ones. No family should have to live with this uncertainty. Keep discussing and sharing anything that might help piece things together. Take care, Jamie
