Has anyone looked into the condition of *The Clover* on the night Billy went missing? I've been thinking about this for a while since it seems like an odd aspect that's not getting much attention in the discussion. If there was any mechanical fault on the boat or some kind of disturbance while they were out at the buoy, it might shed light on why Billy ended up in the water. Also, were the three women and the other folks questioned thoroughly about the events leading up to him jumping in? It seems weird not to hear much about what happened right before he went overboard. It might be nothing, but maybe there's more to the ship condition or his company that night than we understand. Anyone else have thoughts on this angle?
Did anyone else notice the conflicting reports from witnesses on the boat with Billy that night? One account mentioned that he seemed unusually calm before jumping in, while another said he had been acting a bit out of sorts. I'm not jumping to conclusions here, but could there have been something else going on? It's just odd to me that someone as experienced as Billy would jump in without a reason, especially in those conditions. I've been around Perkins Cove my whole life, and the currents can be unpredictable. I hope the authorities take a closer look into the different versions of the events that night. Maybe there's more to uncover?
I can't stop thinking about the group dynamics on *The Clover* that night. I've been following Billy's case, and something just doesn't sit right with me. Why did everyone onboard seem so laid-back when things turned serious? Were they all in shock, or did they initially think Billy was just messing around since it had been a night of socializing? I wonder if anyone there tried to sound an alarm immediately after he was seen face down. It feels like there are pieces missing from that night's timeline. Discussions about everyone's reactions could shed some light on whether this was a tragic accident or if something else was happening. It's just unsettling not having answers for his family and the community, especially given how much Billy meant to Cape Neddick. Anyone else have thoughts on this?
