I've been thinking a lot about the timing of the events that led to Thulani Malinga Herron's tragic death. The shooting took place in February, but he survived for several months before he passed in November from his injuries. It’s so hard to imagine the struggle and pain he must have endured during that time. I wonder how this interval affected the investigation – were there any missed opportunities in those months to gather evidence or secure leads? It must have been incredibly difficult for his family and friends to watch him fight through those months, holding onto hope, only to lose him in the end. And now, to be waiting for justice without any clear answers must weigh so heavily on them. I hope the SFPD doesn't give up and that new information comes to light soon. Every single tip could potentially lead to a breakthrough. Stay strong, Herron family. We're all rooting for justice for Thulani.
