Did anyone else feel uneasy about the plea deal in the Roque Valencia case? I can't help but think about how this must have impacted his family. It seems incredibly unfair for them to lose a loved one and see the accused serve only a fraction of what some might think is deserved time. Given the conflicting stories provided by Moreno and Perez, it's tough to reconcile how the judgment was reached. Their accounts raise so many questions. Was justice really served here? And what does it mean for similar cases in the future? My heart goes out to Valencia’s family. This must be such an incredibly difficult time for them, grappling not only with their loss but also with the outcome of the trial. Would appreciate hearing thoughts on this case and whether anyone else sees it as a miscarriage of justice.
