Could it be that he's trying to move under the radar intentionally? There was a similar case a few years back where someone vanished but was later found living off the grid because they wanted to escape their past life pressures. Given Monte's last known locations—Montana to Louisiana—and the possible Maine or Mississippi destinations, it's a massive area to cover. But perhaps focusing more on these smaller, less obvious communities might yield some clues or sightings? Just a thought, and it's worth considering given how elusive this case has been. I’ve been following Monte Swanson’s case and something keeps bugging me about his last known location in Shreveport. It’s a pretty big jump from Missoula to Shreveport, and there’s a lot of distance between Shreveport and the states he was supposedly heading towards—Maine or Mississippi. Did anyone else find it odd that he contacted his family from Shreveport, then vanished again without a trace? I’m curious if there are any major highways or routes that connect through Shreveport that would naturally lead him towards his supposed destinations. Could he have met someone there who influenced his travel plans? It makes me wonder if he planned to keep moving or if Shreveport was a planned stop. Would love to hear what others think about this leg of his journey and where he might have headed from there.
