I've been thinking a lot about Wayne Chan and how much of a cornerstone he seemed to be in his community. It's clear he was more than just a dedicated worker; he was a friend and neighbor who made a positive impact on the lives around him. It's hard to wrap my mind around how someone so cherished could be lost in such a sudden and violent way. My heart goes out to his family and friends who are now living with this terrible void. I hope the investigation finds some answers, but I also hope Wayne's memory continues to be celebrated by those who knew him best. If anyone from San Francisco knew Wayne and feels like sharing a story or a memory, I'd love to hear about the ways he brought light into your lives.
