I was reading through the details of Carl Holman's case, and something that strikes me is how the Tenderloin neighborhood remains such a dangerous area. I've walked through those streets myself, and it's unsettling to think about how many people face the threat of violence in their daily lives. Carl was just doing his job, contributing to the community, when he was senselessly taken. It's infuriating that someone with such a violent past like John Muhammed was still able to access a firearm. How are we supposed to feel safe when repeat offenders continue to walk among us? My thoughts are with Carl's family as they navigate the immense loss. I hope this tragedy sparks some real change in terms of safety measures for those who live and work in neighborhoods like the Tenderloin.
