I recently came across this case and couldn't stop thinking about the role community support plays in these tragic situations. Carlos Velasquez and Antonio Banda's senseless deaths are a deep loss for their families, who must be yearning for some form of closure. It disheartens me to see how many of these cases hit a dead end due to a lack of witness cooperation or fear of retaliation. I wonder if there were any surveillance cameras in or around the Westland Village Mobile Home Park that night. Any footage could potentially capture details about the suspect's escape or even the confrontation itself. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this loss, and I hope those who know anything feel encouraged to step forward, even if it's anonymously. Every little bit helps, and it could be crucial in bringing some peace to the families involved.
