Did anyone else see the post from Steven Alvarez's cousin on social media recently? I came across it last night, and it was really moving. It breaks my heart to think about the kind of pain his family must be going through, especially with the case being unsolved after all this time. They shared some childhood photos and memories, which really humanized Steven beyond just being "another victim." It's a reminder that there's a real person with a family left shattered. ?
It's so frustrating to see how lack of cooperation is stalling the investigation. I get that people might be scared because of the gang involvement, but does anyone know if there have been any community programs or safe avenues set up for people who might want to share information anonymously? It just seems like there should be more outreach or support for witnesses so they can come forward without fear.
Hoping for some kind of breakthrough soon. His family deserves answers, and I can't imagine how tough it's been for them to keep advocating for justice all these years. If anyone has updates or knows more about what's being done, please share.
I’ve been following Steven Alvarez's case closely, and I think it's important to shed light on the community's role in these tragic events. It's so tough to see another young person lost to senseless violence, and it makes me wonder about the environment that allows these incidents to occur. Wilmington, like many neighborhoods, struggles with gang activity, and there seems to be a cycle of fear and silence that keeps people from speaking out.
I'm curious if there have been any community initiatives or meetings following Steven's death to address these issues head-on? Sometimes, community involvement and pressure can help bring out the truth. If anyone from the area knows of any efforts or has seen anything change since the incident, please share. We shouldn't let this tragedy be forgotten, and there might be ways for us to lend support or find justice for Steven's family.
Remembering Steven in this way is a step towards healing and maybe preventing future tragedies. Sending strength and support to his family and hoping that they get the answers they deserve.
