I can't stop thinking about the ripple effects this tragedy had on the community and the families involved. It’s unimaginable the pain they must be experiencing, especially knowing that such violence erupted from a fight that could have been avoided. It really strikes me how these altercations escalate so quickly and result in such loss.
I keep wondering about the liquor store employees and bystanders who witnessed the shooting. They must be traumatized, having to relive those moments as witnesses and possibly even testifying during Morris Om’s trial. I hope they’ve been able to find some support and counseling to help cope with what they’ve been through. It’s easy to forget how many lives are touched by an event like this.
