Did anyone else catch that the shooting happened so early in the morning while Demetric Carr was likely heading to work? It truly shows how no place or time is safe anymore, which must be terrifying for his family. It's concerning that he got into an argument with several men, which escalated to the point that it did. Why were these guys even out there at that hour?
The witness mentioned a dark sedan speeding off afterward—did the police ever find any surveillance footage from nearby buildings or traffic cameras? You’d think in LA, even at that time of day, there would be some kind of footage to help piece together what happened. My heart goes out to his family who must be enduring immeasurable pain. Hopefully, someone with information will come forward soon, and the perpetrators will be brought to justice.

Hello, I am the older sister of the victim. I appreciate the concern as this has been extremely difficult for my family & myself. I do find it strange that the shooting happened so early. My brother was a very soft spoken, gentle giant…wouldn’t even hurt a fly. Reading the article that states there was an argument was strange because he wasn’t the argumentative type nor would he go to that extent with strangers…especially while on his way to work or being that there more than one person.

Even people who didn’t know him personally are advocating for answers and it just goes to show how much this has shaken the community.
It’s evident that Demetric was loved by many, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. They’ve shown so much strength and resilience despite not having the closure they desperately need. It seems like the community’s bond has only grown stronger as they continue to push for information. As far as I’m concerned I’m unaware of any community involvement as it’s been challenging enough for detectives to come close to solving this case. I’ve made countless phone calls & visits to the police station & here we are 8 years later with nothing. My brother wasn’t perfect, but to me he was an Angel on earth & doesn’t deserve to die in vain
