Hi everyone,
I’ve been reading through the details of Lawrence Janson’s tragic case, and I can't stop thinking about the role of the community surveillance cameras. It’s incredible (though bittersweet) how technology aided the investigation—capturing those critical moments that led to the swift arrests. While nothing can bring Lawrence back, I’m relieved that there were clear leads to pursue justice for him.
But isn’t it haunting to think how just a block away from school, a place we consider safe, something so terrible could happen? As a community, it’s a reminder to push for safety measures around schools and to assist law enforcement in keeping these areas secure. It’s hard seeing a family and community go through such pain; I hope they continue to find strength through each other.
Hoping for justice and peace for Lawrence’s loved ones.
Thoughts and hugs,

I've been following the case of Lawrence Janson, and one aspect that sticks with me is the swift action and assembly of the community. Although Lawrence's death left a gaping hole in his loved ones’ lives, it was inspiring to see how people came together almost immediately to support his family and demand justice. The vigil held right outside Olympic Continuation High School was incredibly moving. Seeing classmates, teachers, and even people who didn't know Lawrence gather to honor his memory says a lot about the positive impact he had in his time here. It's a reminder that in the face of such tragedy, there’s often a powerful response that aims to uplift and support those left behind. With the investigation moving so fast, it's my hope the community's unity and vigilance keep pushing for answers, especially to uncover the full story behind why this senseless tragedy happened. Anyone else feel this way? How has your community reacted to such tragedies?
