I’ve been following the case of little Major Sutton, and one detail that keeps haunting me is the witness situation. It's so understandable that people are terrified to come forward, but it makes me think about the ripple effect of gang violence. When fear grips a community to the point that justice feels out of reach, it seems like the violence perpetuates itself. I can’t help but feel for the Sutton family and the neighborhood—having to live with that fear and the continuing threat. It’s hard not to wonder if more people felt safe to speak, could we prevent these tragedies from happening again? It seems like Major’s case, while one example, is a call for the community and law enforcement to deepen their trust. Without witnesses willing to testify, how do we take effective steps against these gangs? I hope someday we find a way to empower these brave individuals without putting them at risk. Every step toward that goal honors Major’s memory.

I still can't wrap my head around the tragedy that struck the Sutton family. It's such a devastating outcome for an innocent child like Major. It got me thinking about the Vans shoe print mentioned in the evidence. I wonder how crucial this print was to the case? Was it a key piece that helped tie things together, or just part of a larger puzzle? For Major's family, I can only hope that bringing those responsible to justice provides at least a sliver of peace. This case is a painful reminder of how deeply gang violence can tear into community lives, often affecting those who have nothing to do with it. My thoughts are with the Sutton family and all who knew and loved Major.
