Did anyone else notice the lack of updates on the arrests in the Montreal Lavonte Brown case? It's been years since this senseless tragedy, but I've been digging through old articles, and it seems like there was very little coverage or follow-up once the initial reporting happened. It feels so unjust that a man was killed and a toddler injured, yet it seems like this horrific event hasn't gotten the attention it deserves over the years. Does anyone know if the community has organized any memorials or vigils for him? Maybe there were local efforts to keep his memory alive, but they weren't well-publicized. If there's something like that happening, it would be great to hear about it and show support. My thoughts are with his family and everyone affected by this awful crime. We need to keep talking about these cases to put pressure on getting answers and justice.

Hey everyone, I’ve been following the Montreal Lavonte Brown case and I can’t stop thinking about the 2-year-old girl who got caught in the crossfire. The fact that she was grazed by a bullet is so terrifying. It's horrifying to think about how a young life was put in danger like that. Kids should never have to experience something so traumatic, and it’s awful to think about what the family must be going through. We often talk about the victim in these tragic events, but I feel like we sometimes overlook those who survive and how they are affected. I hope that little girl is okay today and that she has the support she needs to heal from this traumatic experience. It's a poignant reminder for us to keep supporting the families involved and to remain vigilant in seeking justice. Does anyone know if there have been any movements in terms of community support for the family? Or maybe initiatives aiming to ensure safety for kids in these neighborhoods? Stay safe out there, everyone. ?

I've been following the Montreal Lavonte Brown case for a while now, and something that really stands out to me is the impact this must have had on the local community, especially on the Vermont Vista neighborhood. Having a child involved, even if she was "just" grazed, must have been absolutely terrifying for everyone living there. It makes you wonder how the neighborhood comes together after something so traumatic. Do they hold vigils? Community meetings? When such violence happens close to home, it's a stark reminder of the fragility of safety we often take for granted. I sincerely hope that amidst their efforts to cope, residents are finding strength in each other. If anyone has any insight into how the community has reacted over the years or the support systems they've put in place, I'd be very interested to hear more about it. Sending peace and strength to all those affected.
