I came across this case recently and, like many of you, I've been trying to piece together what happened that night in Artesia. What's really striking to me is the conflicting information about Frank Lopez’s background. It's so tragic that even in death, there's uncertainty surrounding his identity. I know we're trying to get a clear picture of the events, but I keep coming back to the fact that he had family in the area. They must be grappling with not only losing a loved one but also navigating through the discrepancies regarding his age and where he actually lived. Imagine having to deal with such a heavy loss and then being hit with all this confusion. While the focus might be on what led up to the shooting, I believe some attention should also be on how these records ended up being so muddled. I can only hope that his family eventually found some clarity and peace amidst this chaos.
