Was anyone else really saddened to hear about how Deandre Moody's case has gone without any arrests for so long? It's been years, and his family still doesn't have answers. I imagine the pain and frustration they must be feeling, especially given that it was the last homicide of such a difficult year for Oakland.
I read that there were just so many unsolved cases similar to his, which really makes you think about the challenges the community and law enforcement both face. There's talk around the block that maybe someone out there knows something that could finally bring some peace to his family. If any of us know anything, no matter how small, we should reach out. Remember, there’s a standing $10,000 reward from Crime Stoppers of Oakland for information. Deandre deserves justice, and we owe it to his memory to keep talking about his case.
It's really upsetting that Deandre Moody's murder remains unsolved nearly six years later. It must be incredibly tough for his family to keep waiting and hoping for answers. I read that he was initially shot on High Street before being found on Davenport and Calaveras avenues. These are fairly well-trafficked areas, so I'm shocked that no one seems to have seen or heard anything that could lead to an arrest.
Given this happened at the end of 2017, he was the last homicide victim of that year in Oakland, a city with an already high number of such tragedies. What's baffling is that despite a $10,000 reward, no one's come forward with the crucial information needed to solve this case. It's as if Deandre just vanished into the city's violent crime statistics, and that's such an injustice to him and his family.
I really hope someone out there remembers something from that night and finds it in their heart to come forward. It's agonizing to think that this case, like so many others, might remain a cold file unless we as a community take a stand and say, "enough is enough." Deandre deserves that much, at the very least.
