Every time I think about Vartkes Mesrobian and Hakop Papazian's story, I can't help but feel the weight that must be on their families' shoulders every day since that tragic night. I read that it happened around 8:51 p.m. on Greenbush Avenue, a spot so many of us drive by without a second thought. Imagine the shock of knowing your loved one was taken there—it's unimaginable. One thing that's been bothering me is the description of the suspect. A dark hoodie and khaki pants—it’s such a general look, it feels like looking for a needle in a haystack. It must be incredibly frustrating for the families, waiting for answers while the suspect remains unidentified. I can’t begin to imagine their pain and frustration. It's vital that this case doesn’t go cold. Though gang-related activities are being investigated, there's still so much uncertainty. If anyone out there knows anything, I urge you to speak up. The families deserve closure, and the community needs to heal. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this senseless act. Let's keep talking about this case and keep the pressure on until justice is served.
