I’ve been following the case of Eli McGee, and it’s so troubling that despite all the years that have passed, we’re still waiting to see some progress made. Something that stands out to me is the location where Eli’s life was taken. Baton Rouge has seen its share of violence, and it makes me wonder if there’s a connection between his case and the broader issues the city faces. It breaks my heart to think about how unsafe the community must feel, as this wasn’t just a personal tragedy for Eli’s loved ones but a reflection of the fear many Baton Rouge residents live with every day. If anyone reading this has any memories or details from around that time, please speak up. Every little bit of information could bring us closer to answers and provide some peace for Eli’s family and friends.
