I came across a discussion about this case and was struck by the presence of Jacob Thayer's young daughter in the home during this tragedy. It's truly unsettling to think about what she might have heard or felt at just 4 years old. I hope she's surrounded by loving family members who can provide her with the sense of safety and care she needs. This little girl has lost so much already, and it's important that she is given the support to process these events in a healthy way. Community resources or counseling could play a pivotal role in helping her heal. My thoughts are with her and everyone else who is trying to make sense of such an incomprehensible loss.
