Hey everyone, I just wanted to take a moment to talk about the community around 21st Street and Sierra Way, where Franklin Steele tragically lost his life. I've been following this case, and I can't shake the feeling that the environment there might have played a role in this terrible crime. It’s really unnerving to hear how often violence erupts in certain parts of San Bernardino. I've read that the area has seen multiple incidents even before Franklin's tragic passing, which makes living or even traveling there a daily risk for residents. Reflecting on this really puts things into perspective. It's terrifying to think that for some people, just stepping outside their door can be dangerous. I can't imagine how Franklin's friends and family are coping, knowing that the community they called home couldn't offer the safety and peace they deserved.
I sincerely hope that this case not only finds justice for Franklin but also encourages a much-needed conversation about making our communities safer and better resourced so that no other family has to endure a similar loss.
