Has anyone else been following the details about Anthony Rauda's prior offenses and how they are impacting the case against him? It’s disturbing to see someone with such a lengthy criminal record, especially related to weapons, not only roaming free but also allegedly committing these horrendous acts. I can't even begin to imagine the trauma for Tristan Beaudette's family, especially for his two young daughters who had to experience something so terrifying. It's reassuring to know that Judge Olmedo has decided to allow the case to move forward despite Rauda's defense team's attempts to dismiss the charges. I really hope the prosecution's combination of physical evidence and Rauda's history can secure justice for Tristan and his family. Sending all my thoughts to his loved ones during these incredibly difficult times. ?

Hello all, I want to discuss something that doesn't get talked about enough when it comes to the tragic incident at Malibu Creek State Park. I've been thinking about the numerous unsolved shootings that occurred before Tristan Beaudette's murder. It's unsettling to know that this quiet, picturesque area was the backdrop for multiple frightening incidents before they peaked with such a terrible loss. How is it possible that there were several incidents from 2016 onwards, yet it feels like the warnings weren't heeded until Tristan's case got national attention? Were there any local efforts to increase security before his tragic passing? Seems to me like there should've been a bigger push to solve these cases sooner, given the pattern of violence. It's hard not to feel for the visitors and locals who must have been on edge for so long, not to mention Tristan's family who had to experience the worst possible outcome. It's a reminder of how vital it is for communities and authorities to act swiftly when patterns start to form in incidents like these. Stay safe out there, everyone. Thoughts are with Tristan's family and the community still healing from this heartbreak. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Hey everyone. As we all continue to dig into the events surrounding Tristan Beaudette's tragic death, something that's really weighing on me is the impact this had on local awareness about park safety. It's unsettling to think that an area as beautiful as Malibu Creek State Park could hold such dangers. Since Beaudette’s murder, there's been heightened attention on ensuring the safety of families and campers in these public spaces, but I wonder if these measures are enough. Have any of you read about or experienced changes in park security yourself? It feels essential that we keep advocating for whatever it takes to prevent something like this from happening again. Sending my thoughts to Tristan’s family and everyone who hopes for safer adventures in nature.
