Does anyone have more information about how the community has been coping since the tragedy? I’ve read a few articles, but they mainly focused on the crime itself. It’s so saddening to think about how local friends and families are dealing with this kind of grief, especially with Makani being so young and involved with the local soccer team. Knowing how tight-knit communities can be, I imagine his teammates and friends are still struggling to process everything. If anyone knows of resources, memorials, or community events that have been organized in their memory, it would be comforting to hear how everyone is honoring their lives and supporting one another through this incredibly difficult time. My thoughts are with everyone affected.
