Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the Applebee's parking lot where Jordan lost his life. It became a place marked by tragedy but also by the outpouring of love and grief from those who knew him. I drove by recently and noticed the makeshift memorial that's steadily grown there. Flowers, handwritten notes, and candles line the area, each piece telling its own story of how Jordan touched their lives. It's touching to see that even in the midst of such pain, the community comes together to remember and honor him. We often talk about seeking justice, and rightly so, but I wanted to acknowledge how important it is for communities to have these spaces to mourn and remember. It really speaks to the kind of person Jordan was and the profound impact he made in just 18 years. For those who have visited, any thoughts on how this memorial can evolve into something permanent? Something that continues to offer solace and keeps Jordan's spirit alive for his son and others?

I’ve been following Jordan’s case closely and can’t help but feel the incredible weight his family must be carrying. To think he was only 18 and already so mature as to help a stranger in need—it really speaks to his character. What’s been troubling me is how quick people are to resort to violence these days. It's unsettling. We all need to question why it’s becoming so normal to pull a gun during an argument. I understand the Antioch police are doing their best, but with time passing, I wonder if there are fresh leads or if anyone came forward with more information. One thing that's been truly touching is the way the community has come together with the makeshift memorial. It’s heartwarming to see people unite like that, showcasing that who Jordan was in life really mattered. Also, on a side note, knowing Jordan left behind a little one just makes this even more distressing. His son will never get to hear his father laugh or know him directly but will grow up with the love and stories shared by those who knew Jordan best. Just hoping for some justice and peace for them.

I keep thinking about the courage it must have taken for Jordan to step into that situation outside of Applebee's. His willingness to help others in need speaks volumes about his character, and it’s truly a testament to the kind of person he was. It’s deeply moving to see how his community has rallied around his memory with the makeshift memorial. So many people clearly cherished him, and it’s evident he left a significant mark on those who knew him. The fact that he left behind an 8-month-old son is just gut-wrenching. I can't imagine the pain his family must be enduring, especially knowing Cylus will grow up without having known his father's love and guidance. It’s a reminder of how these senseless acts of violence ripple through so many lives, changing them forever. I hope justice is served soon and that Jordan's family finds some semblance of peace in knowing how much he meant to so many.
