Hey everyone, I came across Justin Wayne Walker's case, and something that's been on my mind is the timing of OSBI getting involved. It took about eight months after his disappearance for the Okemah Police to call in the state bureau. Does anyone know if there was a specific reason for the delay? I'm wondering if this is a common timeline for small towns or if there were particular circumstances here. For those familiar with Oklahoma cases, do you think the late involvement might have impacted the investigation's progress or the public's interest? It's like there's a gap in action that might explain why, even after media coverage, no solid leads have surfaced. Would love to hear any thoughts or insights from others familiar with how these things usually go. Hoping there's still a way to shine more light on his case.

Has anyone else looked into the timeline around Justin Walker's last known whereabouts? I find it a bit puzzling. He was last seen on July 4, 2016, at the Okemah Village Apartments, but it seems like there wasn't much public action until early 2017 when the OSBI got involved. That’s like a 9-month gap! Makes me wonder if there were any initial assumptions by the local police or family about his absence—like maybe he just went off the radar for personal reasons, which unfortunately can be a common assumption with adults. But then again, he’s a young father with kids, so it strikes me as odd that he wouldn't keep in touch with anyone. Anyone have thoughts on why it took so long to escalate his case?
