I’ve been following the case of Eduardo "Lalo" Alvarado Sandoval for a while now, and one aspect that keeps nagging at me is the reliance on ShotSpotter technology. I understand it detected the gunshots and helped the police respond quickly, but it makes me wonder how effective this tech really is in helping solve crimes once the initial response time has passed.
It seems so devastating for Lalo’s family, especially considering they moved to Stockton in the hope of escaping this kind of violence, only for tragedy to catch up with them in a place where they should’ve felt safe. I'm hoping the community continues to rally around them and keeps the pressure on the authorities. Does anyone else have thoughts on how effective ShotSpotter or similar tech is in ongoing investigations? I just wish there were more breakthroughs to give the family some peace.
I've been following Eduardo "Lalo" Alvarado Sandoval's case for a while now, and something that's struck me is the role technology played during the incident. It’s haunting to think about how the police were alerted by the ShotSpotter system, which detected the gunfire. It's a solid reminder of how crucial technology can be in trying to keep communities safe, yet it also highlights the limitations when it comes to preventing these tragedies altogether.
It must be incredibly frustrating for Lalo's family, knowing the police arrived so quickly but weren't able to apprehend the suspect. It makes me wonder if there could be more investment in complementary technologies to aid real-time responses or suspect identification. My heart truly goes out to his family, especially since they had moved away to avoid such violence. I can’t begin to imagine their pain and frustration. It’s just so tragic that despite our advances in technology, we still have such a long way to go in preventing senseless violence and ensuring justice is served.
